I just had a baby in July and had a pap smear come back bad, so did the LEEP, I think thats what its called, where they found the bad area and cut it out, well the results came back that it was not cancer but even tho they took out a large peice it was all the way to the ends of that, so I have to have a much larger portion taken out now, my doc mentioned that the likelyhood is great that farther up there is cancer cells due to the results?

She did not want to tell me a lot more than that on the phone she wants to see me in person.

I was just wondering if the odds are high for me to have cancer once they go in and take out more?

The reason I ask is I am 38 and done with baby making and do not want to keep going through this, as these types of cancer run high in my family and I want to nip it in the bud and also prepare myself for it too!

i don;t know the answers to your questions, and would encourage you to get a copy of your test results. and, if the doctor is suspecting that you may have cancer, then you need to see a gynecologic oncologist for the next step.
