i had a LLETZ tuesday gone and i was wondering what i can use in the bath to stop me from getting an infection? the doctor told me not to have sex for 6 weeks or to use tampons, but i forgot to ask about the bath (no shower) everytime ive had a bath ive just used water. one more question if you dont mind: what are the signs for an infection? all the doctor said was if you get one then go to GP's for anti-biotics. thanks for your help.

lucy85, most doctors recommend no baths after a leep/lletz, so i would suggest you check with your doctor's office on that. you may want to just take showers for a few weeks and use plain water to gently wash, and avoid soaps with fragrances or dyes which can be irritants. signs of infection would include a fever or very foul odor. excessive bleeding is another sign of a problem.
