overwhelmed

I was diagnosed with hpv and had a colp done Oct 21. The doctor said that she saw a small spot at 1 o'clock, but it looked benign (I sure hope so.) She also said ECC, but I have no idea what that means. I am feeling very overwhelmed right now. Sometimes this site and the posts that I read give me comfort, but sometimes they just scare me even more. There is so much information about hpv, yet there are still so many unknowns. I should get my results back from my colp sometime this week.
I asked my doctor can my immune system heal the small lesion without any further procedures and she said that it's possible, but that this usually happens in teenagers and not women my age. Why can't this occur for a 28 year old? I have been taking vitamins and hoping and praying that it will.
