This sounds like good news to me!

Now those of us with dysplasia may also benefit from a vaccine! Let's cross our fingers...

very positive news! thanks for posting this, colette!!!

Thanks Colette!

Merck revised its Gardasil informational sheet a year ago to include protection against all vulvar, VIN, and vaginal, VAIN, dysplasias as well as cervical but most people are unfortunately unaware of this.

you ladies are truly amazing at keeping people informed.
Please can someone advise me after a LLETZ procedure what is the followup programme they have been offered? I.e smear at 6months vs colposcopy at 6months? The BSCCP.org.uk does not include a colposcopy and so many uk based hospital don't do followup colposcopies on women with CIN 3.

We all know the UK choic of vaccine was cervarix as it is the least expensive of the two.

Thankyou

Maria

stopcancernow: How about a HPV test you can do in the privacy of your own home and not have to go into the docs office for the test?!!?!?!

stopcancernow: How about HPV Point-of-care testing in Docs office so you can get HPV result while in the office?? We have the technology to do that now.

stopcancernow: It is good to be careful not to over test young adults (under 21). So so many positives that amount to nothing and women over tested!!

stopcancernow: What needs to be added to ACOG guidelines??? HPV Testing. HPV Testing. HPV Testing!!!!!!!!!!!!

stopcancernow: What needs to be added to ACOG guidelines? Add Pap test AND HPV test for women age 30 and over. It should be in there!!!
