NCCC Conference - Call to Action

2 Recommendations

To those who will be attending the upcoming NCCC Conference or those thinking about attending:

We are excited to announce the NCCC has grown from 3 regional chapters to 16 since our last conference in Los Angeles, California in October 2008!

I want to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in an interactive meeting to kick start our HPV, CANCER & YOU: RELATIONSHIPS MATTER Conference. Our pre-conference meeting, "Call to Action, Starting, Supporting & Getting Involved with your NCCC Chapter" will be on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

During the Call to Action segment, each chapter leader will introduce themselves, tell why they started their chapter and highlight what they have planned for the coming year. This will give you the chance to meet many of our chapter leaders and learn what other volunteers throughout the country are doing to educate and raise awareness about HPV and Cervical Cancer in their communities.

The key goals for Call to Action will be:

1. Have Face to Face time with existing Chapter Leaders and those interested in starting a chapter or becoming involved as a chapter advocate

2. Listen and Learn about Chapters progress and success stories

3. Taking Action Together as a whole
a. Enlightenment
b. Empowerment
c. Excitement

We value your ideas and energy and know that your input is essential to the success of the NCCC. Please join us and learn how you can make a difference. Space is limited, so please RSVP to Rachel Biety at Rbiety@nccc-online.org.

We look forward to collaborating with you at this exciting event!

Health and happiness,

Well, I am confident the upcoming Cervical Cancer/ HPV meeting in Chicago on Oct. 8,9 and 10 will be fantastic. And this pre meeting call to action topic talk with current and future Chapter leaders will be an excellent starting point.

It is exciting to note that the NCCC (HPV Cancer Coalition) is growing with the evidence-based science and will be expanding to include in addition to cervix cancer, talk about vulvar, vaginal, anal, penile and some of the head and neck - (nasalpharyngial) cancers that have an HPV involvement.

SEE YOU at the conference. FInd out how YOU can come by going to the NCCC website at: www.nccc-online.org

And follow my twit under the name STOPCANCERNOW on Twitter.
