Loop Diathermy???

0 Recommendations

Im 25 and have had my first smear which came back with abnormalities, i was sent for a colposcopy and biopsys were taken which have now been advised to be CIN3, I am so confused and wondering if anyone can help? I had a miscarriage a month before my smear which left me feeling very low, this is another blow for me and i am now very worried that the llop diathermy will effect me becoming pregnant again in the future! I have also heard that a lot of people who have had this procedure then find sex painful so i am afraid this may effect conception.
Please Help A very scared young women

Miscarriage Stress

Well, I am in no means a doctor but I cannot help but wonder if the stress of being pregnant and then loosing the baby could have been a contributor to the CINlll. Displasia is aggravated/stimulated by stress.

Questions (they will sound rude but I give you my word, being rude is not my intention, please know that :o): Are you a smoker, drinker, recreational drug user, have a stressful lifestyle, or multiple partners, or wear tampons. You don't have to answer these questions to us of course; these are some contributors to encouraging diplasia. Unhealthy eating is another one.

Is there time between now and your procedure so that you can try some natural remedies? Some of the ladies here have got some fabulous advice on what to eat and I am hoping one of the leaves you some advice about that. I am just starting out with the healthier eating myself. I do know that a good multi vitamine like a prenatal is really good, as well as cruciferous fruits and laying off the red meats.

Well, I hope all turns well for you, would you be sure to keep us updated?
