did cemo and radiation cause leg and feet cramps for anyone else
sounds like you might have neuropathy? nerve damage is common during chemo. i didn't have it but ask your doc and i know at least one person who went to pysical therapy to work on it.
HI there,
Didn't do Chemo, but I did do 8 weeks of external radiation. I don't have "leg cramps", but I do get terrible leg, hip and back pains. If I move the right way it will hurt all the way to my feet. I also have what they call "frozen hips". If I sit too long it takes a while for my hips to work right. It can be very painful.
Blessings to you!
Tavy
Since we are on the subject of cramps, can someone maybe tell me why my one toe on right foot, 4th toe, tingles every morning? I did not do chemo or radiation...did everything holistically and had surgery to remove my tumor.
I'm not sure what kind of doctor to call to get this tingling feeling checked out. If anyone could please contact me at my email mstammyfile@hotmail.com it would be greatly appreciated. I do not log on to here that often so that is why I am asking for people to email me. Hope to hear from someone soon.
Thank you
Tammy
Hi, I haven't done radiation or chemotherapy. I'm precancerous so far unless my laser cone biopsy says different. I've been getting leg cramps for 2-3 years though. It could be a calcium, potassium deficiency or you may be dehydrated. Talk to your doctor. They may do a blood test. What works for me is rubbing aspercreme on my leg when it happens or I think its going to happen. Sometimes my calf has a tight feeling. Also taking a warm bath, stretching and some advil might help. I also leave the aspercreme on my night stand because I get most of my cramps at night. good luck.
Yes- and it is driving me crazy...There is little information on it. I had 4 rounds of A/C followed by 8 rounds of Abraxame/Gemzar followed by 6 weeks radiation. The cramps stated one month after I finished all treatment and I've been dealing with them for 9 months. Feet, front and back of calves all cramp bilaterally and frequently. Exercise makes it worse! I've had all levels of all minerals, etc. checked and they are all fine. I'm very frustrated..NOTHING I read about (mag/cal/quinine) has helped....
