I had my radical hysterectomy a week ago today. The doctor were able to do a bikini line incision, unusaul for my case, but they were able to make it happen.... anyways... today I have begun to have a lot of pink watery fluid coming out of the incision. My docs office claims its excess fluid the lympahtic sysmtem typically takes care of, only some fluid made its way to the incision.. Has this happened to anyone? How long did it last? what did you do?
I'm glad to hear your called your oncon. I never had any type of drainage coming from my bikini line incision. I really didn't mess with it much, and just gently wiped it and re-bandaged it daily. Are you wearing your support girdle? That thing was a real pain, but I wore it for two weeks, without it I felt like my guts were going to fall out. Once the staples came out, it was so much better, and I got rid of the girdle.
I came across my girdle a few months back. The sight of it made me want to vomit, and I threw it in the trash!
Did they remove many lymph nodes from you?
After about two weeks a felt pretty good, and went camping.
