I am 27 and want to get married and have children as well. I think if you find the right man, he will accept you for who you are. Luckily, the virus doesn't do much harm to the men out there, but if you give it to the guy and then he has another partner, he can give it to her and then the problems continue on from there. Just make sure you are with the right guy and be upfront and honest with him. I don't believe there is a risk of your children getting it from you either. I have never heard of that happening.

Anyway, the thing you need to remember is that there is someone out there for you, and he will love you regardless of any flaws you may have (whether it is personality or medical). There is no such thing as a perfect human!

You are right in that HPV goes away for most women. But there are a lot of women who are stuck with it as well. You just need to be diligent in getting your pap-smears, eat healthy, exercise, take multi-vitamins and 800 mcg folic acid daily, and make time for fun. The only thing we can do is take care of our health the best way we know how instead of dwelling on whether this virus stays or goes.
Good luck!

We carry many virus that stay within our system such as colds, flus, etc. I think there are several misconceptions out there about HPV. First of all the commonality of it, second of all what actually occurs. Your kids will not be affected and your doctor should advise you during your pregnancy as far as how to give labor.

lots of what if's....and it's good that you're learning more about hpv. first i would encourage you to remember that at least 80% of women (and men) will have hpv by the time they're 50 years old. so, that's almost everyone. second, chances are you're in the majority of women who will, indeed, clear the hpv infection without needing any treatment. you can take this opportunity to take steps to help you body clear the hpv infection. as for how to handle communicating this with a future partner, you'll find a way, you'll find the strength to do so. keep reading, keep learning. knowledge is power.
