Hi Everyone! Just wanted to share that six weeks post LEEP I completed a 1/2 marathon!!! Took time off during the training like most here recommended, but was cleared at my 4 week check and this weekend ran, ran, ran!! It was wonderful & I could not have done it without the support I received here to keep plugging along after my diagnosis & LEEP..... thanks to you all!

Congratulations!! That is awesome!! I am a runner too, but I've only done 5k's. I average about 20 miles/week. That is great that you were able to do it so soon after your LEEP :)

congrats! I used to run long distances, when in my 30's, and absolutely loved doing 1/2 marathons and the other longer distance runs (10k and up). i miss the running, but don't feel like my body can handle it any longer. glad to hear you're feeling so well!

That's excellent. Congratulations! And, I imagine you feel like you've gotten back some of your old (i mean pre-LEEP) body!

thats awesome! Im planning on running one in december, i just had my LEEP 2 weeks ago, bleeding pretty heavily for the last week so i dont wanna run and make it worse..ugh.

Thanks everyone! katiluvsgoldies - I did not run for 4 weeks during my training to allow my body to heal - please continue to take it easy:)!! I wish you all the best!!

That is so great, Mommy to 4! Congratulations on getting back to running, and getting back to "life after dysplasia"! I can't wait to do the same, and you're inspiring that it will happen eventually. Thanks for keeping us updated, please continue to do so!
