Well, it is possible I would suppose :o) You could have been on the back end of your body dormatizing the HPV. During the colposcopy did they take any biopsies? Did they use a vinager solution to help in seeing any abnormal areas on the cervix? Did they do an ECC? This is where they swab the inside of your cervix. Are you in really good shape, eat well, etc.? This aids in a strong immune system so your body can put great effort into getting the HPV inactive. And one more question: did you get copies of your pap smear results and your colposcopy results? If not, then I highly encourage you to get both of them as soon as you can. If you need help reading them you can talk to the doc or the nurse as well as here as the ladies here are so knowledgable on reading these things.

Many best wishes to you. :o)

If you are concerned with the quick change you could ask for a second opinion.

Did they actually do an HPV test both times, or just a pap? A pap does not test for HPV.

i'll echo sapphkat's question....did they do hpv testing along with each of the paps? and, do you know what the first abnormal pap indicated?

During the colposcopy they did take 3 kinds of biopsies, and also used a vinager solution to help in seeing any abnormal areas on the cervix. My doctor told me I probably had CIN I or CIN II
The good thing my doctor is watching me closely I have to repeat my paps mere 3 months later. I hope it comes back normal. How long does it take duration of time to change from CIN I to CIN III.
I pray for each women who is exposed to HPV virus because it is realy a difficult experience.
Does any one know have any idea how the HPV virus can be transmitted other than sexual contact. Is there any way I should avoid friends and families?
I appreciate you all for being so supportive.

joel75, you posted a very similar inquiry a few months ago, and received several responses at that time ....hopefully you've been able to see/read those too, and find them useful. if you haven't yet done so, you should find out what the abnormal pap indicated specifically, and you'll want to find out if they did another pap during the colposcopy along with hpv test or whether it was just the colposcopy biopsies. hope that helps.

Dear flowershoplady I did post similar inquiry a few months ago because I didn't get enough answer to my previous question.
