HPV/CIN1 AND NOW A TUMOR?....

0 Recommendations

Hi all you wonderful and understanding ladies..after not being treated very nicely at the womens hospital here in melbourne (australia) regarding me having cin1/hpv i decided to get a second opinion so instead of going back to my local gp (who has been procrastinating)..i went to another doctor..i told her all about my condition and asked her bout my painfull symptoms such as lower back pain, irregular periods, painfull legs etc..anyway this doctor was very rude also but just to shut me up decided to send me for a pelvis ct scan..she said to me "dont call me i will only call you if there is a problem"..and that was that..i was so upset i told my man...so we decided to just have the tests and then get the results and then tell her where to go..lol..anyway the doc called me this morning asking me to come in so i went in..well my ct scan came back abnormal with a very small tumor on my right kidney...i am having an ultrasound on wednesday and then i am going to see a neuologist..my question to all is..does anybody know if there is a connection with my cin3 and my tumor on my kidney...or are they 2 different matters...any advice would be much appreciated..
god bless you all

Hi Sonia:

It sounds like you have had a terrible experience with your doctors in Australia. I am gla dyou have been so persistent.

I think the kidney lession is unrelated. Metastic cervical cancer can go to the kidney but it would mean that you had stage IV cancer. The pap and other tests would have showed this and not CIN1.

Please dont worry as I am sure they are unrelated. There could be a variety of things causing that tumor and it does not mean you have cancer.

Please do let us know what the doctor says on the appt. My guess is she will want to have it biopsied and will refer you to a different specialist.

Hugs,

Beth

Hello Beth
thank you for your kind and reassuring words...i am just thinking the worst at the moment..im hoping it would be benign but either way i must think positive..i have 5 kids aged 19, 13, 11, 4, and 2 so i am a little scared...my brother died of cancer and so did my grandparents (both sides) all died of cancer too..but i will keep you informed...
god bless you

Hi Sonia:

I totally understand how worried you are right now. The waiting is always so difficult. It is so hard when children are involved and especially the little ones.
We want to be there for them.

Please post when you have news.

Hugs,

Beth
