HPV AND HEALTH RISKS

0 Recommendations

I have been diagnosed with high risk HPV 16 & 18 which cause cancer five months ago. I am 32 years old and have only had 5 sex partners in my life time and have been married for 6 years. I have one son who is 16 years old and I have not been able to get pregnant since. For the last month and a half I have had many health problems. I have been in the hospital and to my doctor many times and have had many test ran. They are still unsure as to what is causing all my health problems. I have an appointment with my OBGYN this week. When I called my OBGYN and told them my health problems that I was having they said it could be the HPV that is causing them. As of right now and for over a month I have had a bladder infection, constipation for 3 weeks, swollen and tender breast, and extreme stomach pain and swelling. I took a blood pregnancy test and it came back negative. They want me to test again in 10 days. But I gave up on ever getting pregnant a long time ago. It is very hard to know that I might never be able to have a baby with my husband. He is not the biologic father of my son, even though he is a father to him. I would love to have a baby with him and it makes me feel like less of a women to think that I cant even bare children when everyone around me have at least four kids. If anyone has had any similar symptoms or have any advice to give I would love to here it. I am scared that it might be cancer and that I might have to have a full hysterectomy. I'm sorry that this seems so depressing I just feel so alone, I have no women in my life, my mother and grandmothers passed away and I have no women in my life to talk to about this. Anyways thank you for taking the time to read my posting...:0)

I'm not really sure what could be up, but do you think it could be related to stress? Stomach pain and bloating could be a side effect of really bad constipation.
The bladder infection could just be unlucky and a coincidence?

I got a bladder infection shortly after my first colposcopy. I had never had a bladder infection in my life and the doctor assured me there was no way the colposcopy could cause one, so I have to guess that maybe it was just my body being "down" from stress, which let the infection in.

I'm not sure what tests you have had, but it sounds like the doctors are on top of it.

I wish you luck and I'm sorry you feel so alone. I was diagnosed with HPV 3 months ago and not dealing with it too well, so I know how isolating it can be.
Good luck to you.

Thank you for replying to my post. I'm sorry that you to have been diagnosed. I dont know if it could be stressed related or not. I do have allot of stress in my life right now. I am on medications for bipolar and panic attacks. So who knows...
