Had a cone biopsy 5 or 6 months ago. BAD cramping every month for my period

So, I had a Cold Knife Cone biopsy about 6 months ago. I am still having VERRRRYY bad cramping and pain every month when I get my period. I dont know what to do. It hurts alot. It is like labor cramps, not even lying. I take a very strong Motrin, prexcription of my mom, and after an hour or so, it slows down the pain. If I dont take it, I will be bed bound, very miserable, to the point of crying. Why? Also, my doc says I have to do a scraping every 2 months. Cant they just do a pap and if that comes back abnormal, then do a scraping? I dont get it.... Also, i am havng a hard time getting pregnant.......

hi.i also had CKC a month ago and this time were cramp for two days.the doc told ckc may lead to narrow cervical and the symtom would be cramp and less bleeding.
i desire to have baby soon while it also depend on the cervical function and the result of the checkup and i will post here my update for ur refer.i think doc give their suggestion according ur symptom if i were u i would follow that so that i could get better soon
i suggest u dont touch the cold water and drink hot jinger juice during every month bleeding.it may reduce the cramp a little to make u feel comfortable
hope u can turn better soon

Thank you for your post!! I appreciate it. I emailed my doc, waiting to hear back. She said I get the cramping due to my ckb. I am yet waiting to hear back from her again. Where do I get the ginger juice from? I am also bleeding alot!

hi ccubberly
I don't know where you can get ginger since I am in China.
we have may traditional herbal way to reduce the cramp.

First of all getting the advice from your doctor is very important and I know some patients will follow the doc guide to have cervical reopening. If I keep 6 month cramping I would definately ask doc give some explanation and to do sth.

But I can give you a common way which we used to.We will cut the jinger into slice and combine with brown suger and water and then boil them for 10 minutes.
After drinking you will feel be sweaty but comfortable.Secondly pls wear warm such as making sure your feet warm. For me even if the summer is hot I still wear the socks during my peiod.

Hope it can be helpful for you.

Thank you so much! i appreciate it! I will go buy some Ginger now. My doc said I can do the cervival stretching/reopening, but very painful to do. am tryin ti think f should do that or if will go away on its own. Did you go every 2 months afterward to get scraped for a pap?

I was diagnosed AIS 1 month ago so I had ckc immediately.
Although the surgery is successful to get clean margin I need to check-up in my life afterwards.

The doc told me I need to have pap/hpv test every 3 month. Not 2 months.

Did you plan to get pregnant? I am also worried about my narrow cervix problem after the CKC. It might influence the getting conceive

hi, What is with the scraping?? have not heard of that? I had cone biopsy done 2wks ago. I was due my period 10days ago but nothing yet. Does it normally come on time? I am hoping to try for a family when this is all sorted - i hope it wont be a prob. have had 3 MC's. I've read a lot on internet that it may cause probs for pregancy & MC's. My doctor never mentioned any complications and was fully aware of my plans. i just hope they will be not probs. Hopefully you will be preg soon :)

I had my cone biopsy 10 years ago and for 10 years now the first 2 days are like freakin labor pain.I was given Naproxen by my Dr and that seemed to help for awhile then really the meds had no affect.I tried Alleve and for a couple of months and taking 3 of them that helped but last month it started in again, labor pains,I am due next month for my yearly and hope there is a stronger alternative to alleviate the pain.

I still have not gone to the doc yet and I had my one biopsy done 6 months ago. For the scraping, the doc said that is the only way to detect cancer or anything thoroughly. With the pap, they cannot see down through the cervix. I will not go every 2 months, for the scraping. How am I supposed to ge back to normal, the cervix will always be irritated then, and then How am I supposed to get prego? I dont understand. Every month, around my period, i get very sick.. bad bad cramping! I have to take a prescription motrin 800 mg from my mom... then it will go away after a day... So I am so traumitized, I refuse to go to the doc... I know she will scrape me... it hurts!!!!and every 2 months??! I purchased the ferility ovulation monitor... I havent had a fertile day yet... im already on day 20... anyone know when a girl ovualates?? Is it closer to your period???
