Gardasil again in the news

0 Recommendations

THere is another online article about Gardasil here http://abcnews.go.com/Health/ReproductiveHealth/gardasil-vaccine-roadblock- citizenship/story?d=8542051

The story is about a young woman trying to become a US citizen but being blocked because she refuses to take the vaccine (which is required for immigrants) due to her concerns over its safety. Articles like this will only serve to decrease the number of girls getting the vaccine due to fear and misinformation.

there's no logic to the CDC mandating that immigrants have the vaccine while there's not a mandate for those who live here! that said, this woman's logic that she took a virginity pledge is not a reason for not having the vaccine because what about the man she eventually marries who may have been exposed to hpv. makes no sense - in my opinion.
