Dr comments during biopsy

0 Recommendations

My pap showed AGCUS. When the Dr was doing the colposcopy he mentioned that he sees several suspicious spots. He did say that he can tell I will need treatment but won't know what kind of treatment until he gets the biopsy results back. Did your Dr. make any comments during your biopsy? What was the outcome? Just curious.

When I had my colposcopy in mid-December, my doctor was certain that the results would come back as CIN II or III. She was so certain, in fact, that we scheduled the LEEP at that visit. I did nothing but worry for several days after the colp. Results came back as CIN I and there was no need for a LEEP. I will have a follow-up pap in March to see if the dysplasia has progressed or if (hopefully) my body was able to clear it without any intervention.

Thanks Meghan. He didn't get specific with me just said that he was sure I would need treatment. I am glad yours came back better than what the Dr. thought. Good Luck.

My doctor did make a comment that what he found on my cervix would deff. need removed and maybe some radiation.... I wasnt worried really, but after the pathology it turned out to be worse than the gyn had thought. I had a radical hysto and I am about to start my 3rd round of chemo. No radiation though, thankfully, with everything else Im going through, or have gone through...

momma24boys, what are the side affects of the chemo? How often do you have to take treatments?
