WOW!!!

This past Sat. night, Sept. 6th in Hollywood at the Universal Hilton, the National Cervical Cancer Coalition (NCCC) www.nccc-online.org held its Casino Night event to raise awareness and funds to help provide scholarship resources for women coming into Los Angeles for the upcoming NCCC annual conference Oct. 2, 3 and 4th.

Many NCCC members from this NCCC online community were at the event. It was great seeing all of you. Close to "300 folks" were in attendance at this magical Hollywood/Vegas style night. In addition to the Casino-style game play, there was great music by Christine Baze, a cervical cancer survivor and NCCC member, there was magic (from the Magic Castle), Great Food, Drinks, an Amazing Silent Auction that was a blast and a wonderful social time enjoyed by everyone.

"Flowershoplady" from our list-server sent some beautiful flowers (thank you) there were amazing decorations and the event Rocked! Shundra from our NCCC southwest Chapter was at the event with some other members and her friends that came in from out of state too.

No one person put on this amazing event. Thanks to Sarina who headed up the event with the amazing and organized Rachel Biety, the fantastic Cindy Renie and the great student board member and involved and caring Sydney Gitelson for those exciting weekly organizing meeting. You are all the BEST!!!

Again, Renie Design and of course; Cindy, Bonnie, Ed, JC, Nick, Ahmed, Cheryl, Jewell and Angela.... your design work is the best there is in Hollywood! And how you care about the NCCC and its mission ROCKS!

THANK-YOU to: The Casino table sponsors, Rob Cizek and Deb Sorich, Quiagen, Crush creative and their great signs, Printworks and Russ Collins, the Felix and Kaye families, the Acosta and Miller families, Hooper, Lundy and Bookman, esq., Hologic and PathNet.

(And lets not forget those college "fraternity boys" from A Ei Pi that came and will be holding, with the sororities, a HUGE 1,000 person NCCC GREEK LIFE NCCC fundraiser/awareness event in San Diego in two months!!!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!)

Bringing together about 300 women and men that care and are involved with issues related to cervical cancer and HPV disease was an amazing thing at this Casino Night. Wow wow wow. I can't believe what a resounding success everything was. I'm so glad everyone's sweat and tears paid off. All of the attendees seemed to be having so much fun! Everyone really felt that we had some great silent auction prizes and are already asking about next years fundraiser.

Patty-please send me your contacts re: the fundraiser I would like to do in the Spring here in Phoenix. I think I'd better start REALLY EARLY!!!

Congrats again Alan, Sarina & Rachel!!!
Shaundra

hurray for a successful fundaiser, and so glad that some of you were able to attend!!!

I'll send you her contact info this week. I need your email address again offline, as I gave you business card to someone who was looking for information. I told her you were with the Arizona chapter, but she could still contact you for more info and direction.

I get people asking me for info all the time. I thinkI need to grab some of those little pocket info cards from Rachel, as I have handed out no less than ten of those in the past month or so.

Anyway, talk to you more this week!

xoxox,
P

My email is shall@nccc-online.org.

Rachel re-routes it to my home email but this address is the easiest one to remember.

Stock up on the info cards, I hand them out like crazy too!
