Birth Control and HPV

0 Recommendations

So I was reading another post where someone said to skip the birth control pills if you have HPV. I also was just reading the small little pamphlet on my pills and it says ....."Some stuidied have found an increase in the incidience of cancer of the cervix....However this finding may be related to factors other than the use of oral contraceptives. There is insufficient evidience to rule out the possibility that the pill may cause such cancers."

I forgot to ask my doctor about this, but my general theory is that it is not the pill itself but when you are on the pill you tend not to use condoms which can increase the risk of HPV. Can anyone tell me if this is right?? OR if there is any other info on Birth control and hpv. THANKS! God Bless you all.
