Anyone have tender groin lymph nodes?

0 Recommendations

Hey,

Just a question... For the past week or so, in the area where my leg crease meets my abdomen (in the groin area), on the right side, it's been tender to touch. There's a small little bump when you press down but it's not something you can see just by looking at the area. I've looked this area up and it looks like it's the inguinal area.. Just wondering if anyone has had this before. I have been to the doctor's twice in the past week and money is tight so before I go to the doctor's, I'd like to get someone's opinion on here. I didn't know if it has anything to do with HPV or my recent colposcopy. Anyway, thanks for everyone's opinions!!

HPV

I'm not sure if this is a side effect of HPV or a recent colposcopy, but I do know that it could be tender for other reasons. You have lymph nodes in your groin area and they can swell for something as simple as a cold. My boyfriend had swollen lymph nodes in the groin area and was told by a doctor that it was cancer...but then he found out from another doctor that it was because he had mono. We won't even go into that situation, but those lymph nodes can swell or be tender for various reasons.

Check with your doctor to see if it's swelling due to hpv or the colposcopy because I am not sure about that :)

HI:

From what I have been told by my oncologists, inginual nodes do not swell from a cold. Those nodes are the drainage for organs in your pelvic area and are swollen as a result of fighting some type of infection, etc. or injury of the foot or leg.

Have you been diagnosed with CIN or AIN? How long have you had the enlarged node? Is the bump fixed or does it move when you feel it?
