Hi, I finished my treatments in Dec 2007, everything was going great(well as good as can be expected) until the beginning of 2009. The doctor thinks I have enteritis. Not much is being done about it. I was wondering if you have any advice?

I've had this since I finished my radiation, external and brachytherapy, in August. I sympathize with you. For two months I would wake up every morning at about 5 AM with excrutiating abdominal pain, then running to the bathroom (often not making it) for the next six or seven hours. I was afraid to go out for fear of an "accident". I didn't want to get my body hooked on having to rely on Lomotil but finally said the heck with it, I can't live like this.
So for the past two weeks I've been taking Lomotil every day and can finally leave the house, which was beginning to feel much like a jail.
In your case, I'm surprised that there was such a lapse of time in between and find it hard to make a connection from something finished a year ago although radiation does have short term and long term effects so I suppose that is possible. Has your doc recommended Lomotil? You didn't mention diarrhea so perhaps you just have pain but things like Bentyl or Donnatal can also help have you tried those?
If you doc isn't providing any useful info I'd call him/her on it and tell them you can't live like this. So often we just get blown off but we're the ones whose lives are affected day after day for the worse. Find another doc if this one is not sympathetic to helping you find a treatment.
