Abnormal Paps

0 Recommendations

I have a very close childhood friend that for the last 6 years now keeps getting abnormal paps. In the middle of all of this she had two good paps, which got her hopes up. Well, she just got an abnormal one again. They keep having to do cervical biopsy's and they always find nothing. Every time they do this biopsy they told her it decreases her chances on having children. It's now to the point that they said if she were to get pregnant, her cervix would be so weak she'd have a hard time carrying a baby to term. I was just wondering how after all of these years they can't figure out why she's having these bad pap results? She's gone to several different Dr's and still doesn't really understand what's going on. Does anyone else have issues like this for this long without finding out any new information?

Is she testing positive for HPV? And has she had a LEEP or cone procedure?
