and every day it gets a little easier. Thanks to all of you because i definitely get strength from reading and responding on here, knowing im not alone and that other women are going through the same thing. And... a lot of the messages really reinforce what im doing and why im doing it. so thanks!

you go girl!!!Don't give up!!!

That's awesome! I've never smoked before but I have family that really really needs to quit! Good for you! You're doing awesome!

thankfultarian: That is FABULOUS!!! You are giving yourself one of the best gifts for your health. I quit a little over 4 years ago and I can for sure sympathise with how hard it is but how exhilerating it is to watch yourself succeed and know what it means for your health.

Many more smoke-free days to you!!!!!!! :o)

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you guys so so so much!

its lonely times these days... so your words of encouragement really mean a lot. who knew one could get such emotional support from "strangers" HA - on the inter-net... THANKS!!!

That's awesome! And trust me, if you go cig-free long enough, you'll definitely not want them anymore...and it definitely feels great to get to that point!

Anything can happen on the internet :P It's where I met my hubby!!!

Way to go!!! Keep it up!!! I quit over 10 years ago & now I am the biggest smoking snob...I can smell it a mile away.haha and wonder how I ever smoked. Good luck...you will feel so much better!

congradulations!!!!!!!!! i know how hard it is, i am on day5..... good luck!

I am so proud of you. Relearning how to live without smoking is hard to do. I had to quit drinking when I quit smoking, because I needed all the will power I had to say no to every urge. I have not had a cig in 11 years, except in 2 dreams. It takes a huge amount of effort to fight off the bodies urge to get its fix. Mind over matter. You can do it.

I quit too last week after I learned about the effects of smoke on the cervix. Never had a clue. Not even worth it. Keep it up. You can do it! and so can I!

AWESOME! Before you know you'll be announcing that you are 1 YEAR CIGGY FREE! Keep going....it only gets better :)

@ england921 - Same to you! Congrats and keep going!

Wow, that's so great thankfulitarian!! It's one of the best gifts you can give yourself and your family, you must be very proud. I quit last June, and I still can't believe it sometimes. There was a point where I thought I would NEVER be able to quit, now look!! It gets easier as time goes on. Pretty soon other's smoke will annoy you and make you sick LOL Great job, you're DOING IT!!

Hi there!

I am so happy for you. The smoking is really difficult. I am battling to stop. I smoke a lot less however I would love to nicotine free, not just because of my cancer but because it stinks.

Keep it up and WELL DONE. Buy yourself a gift for 10 days without smoking.

Take care

I am on day 12 with no smoking! :-) I am feeling awesome. If I can do it anyone can. I smoked for a very long time..

You are doing great!!! your gonna make it and dosent it already make you feel better. I quit 5 years ago and could tell a difference in just a few days. I still want one to this day but I weigh that against each breath I take,,easly, and they just arent worth it. You keep up the great work.
