I hate it when my baby has seizures, but especially when I am out of town. My other daughter and I were away for a friend's wedding and my husband stayed with the baby. She has been having breakthrough seizures every 2-3 weeks now that she has come down off phenobarbitol. I know it was good to get her off the pheno because it's so bad cognitively, but it's hard to see her go through her tonic clonics (Grand Mals). She is still on 3 other AEDs and is pretty much at the max on the one that is actually controlling them. I just wish we knew why she is seizing and what the future holds. It's so hard not to know.
