On Friday October 16th we had an appointment with my son Jaysin's psychologist for our final test results. There was no question in our minds that our son was somewhere onf the ASD scale it was just a matter as to where. We were expecting to hear that some of his ticks had to do with OCD aka excessive compulsive dissorder but the doctor came in and said that she could not say exactly where on the scale he was though there was no question he was autistic. She came in and said " your son is moderatly mentally retarded". Those words shattered my world. I could not even breathe when she said this. This all being added to the fact my father had just recently had a tumor the size of a pear removed from his brain. My husband was afraid I was about to snap but I have finally stopped crying and can proudly say I am a parent of a special needs child and I would not change him for anything in the world.
