Hi All:
After changing Doctors I finally found someone in Nashville who has questioned some of the symtoms that have been progressing. First, he immediately prescribed going back on Tysabri which my last Dr. took me off of and I had no maintenance MS drug for over 6 months. Although my symtoms have not gone away, I feel like I am not progressing as fast as I was. He also did an emg in his office and that was normal to see if I had additional nerve damage that may be effecting the strength in my arms and hands. That test came back normal, but at least he is looking to see why I have additional pain. He is sending me to a orthapedic surgeon to take a look at my shoulder which I can't lift but midway in the air. He thinks maybe I have a rotary cuff injury. He has also ordered a new set of MRI's to see if there has been additional damage to my mylen or if it is spinal deterioration.
I guess my point here is that my new MS Dr. told me that not everything that I am experiencing has to be MS related. I'm not sure if that is good or bad but it makes me feel like he really cares and is not just prescribing new med's to mask the issues.
Thanks for listening and God Bless all.
