There once was a girl named Sherri
who took steroids that made her quite hairy
She also got chubby
to the dismay of her hubby
and the kids thought she was very scary
She was frustrated, feeling blue
so went to see what the doctor could do
He looked her in the eye, said I'm not gonna lie
If you don't take the medicine, you could die
She squinted her eyes and gave him a frown
He could see that she was obviously down
He shook his head and said okay we'll give it a try
She decided to change the food she ate
learned to do yoga and meditate
The path off the meds was obnoxiously slow
but she really believed it was the way to go
In a few months the side effects did abate
I'm here to tell you with gratitude and joy
that Sherri lives to play with her grandboy
She still uses a steroid cream
the sarc wants to live on her face it would seem
If it's bad she wears a scarf and plays coy
Sherri has found that it's best to avoid
taking the much prescribed and dreaded steroid
Though it may not be right for everyone
She finds her life is much more fun
She's learned to accept she has sarcoid
