Depression without medication

Hi, I have had episodes of depression for many years.Right now I have been depressed for 2 months with also having a series of colds and infections that have made me feel tired and sick. The depression is worse in the morning and eases up later in the day.I have been isolated and still feeling very sick,My main question is has anyone got advice for dealing with depression without antidepressant medication when you don't have the energy to get out of the house.I don't want to take the antidepressants because they make me feel numbed out.Anyone have tips on living through depression without medication or counseling when you have an illness (I have emphysema ) that limits your ability to get out of the house?. Thanks Sopherdorph
