I had my yearly pap screening in late August and finally got my results back the first of October...I was diagnosed as ASC-H and HPV High Risk positive... Talk about mind blowing...specially after having normal reports for the past 30 years...
I had a hysterectomy done in 1992 at the age of 34 so i figured HA... no more female problems right? Well i guess that isn't the way it goes in real life....
So here I am getting ready to meet tomorrow with my GYN and get a colposcopy with biopsy done to see exactly what is going on inside..yippee! I have researched a lot of useful information about what the colposcopy is and what they are looking for so i am not totally in the dark about it all....
The worst part is the waiting game for each step of this process... from initial testing and confirmation....then additional testing... then staging... then decide on treatments if any are needed. I am definitely not big into being patient....so GOD please give me an extra big dose right now.
I am so thankful I have found this site and been able to read how others handle going thru this same experience...I know i am not the first nor the last to be in this exact same spot..looking for answers...
I will just have to wait and see what the Doctor has to say after checking me out tomorrow....and will move on to the next step from there.....one baby step after another....i hope i don't trip to often along the way...
