After a positive biopsy from April 9th, I had to have a bone marrow biopsy which came back negative. Yeah! I still have questionable blood work and my lymph node biopsy has been sent off along with my initial diagnosed cancer in 2007 to a specialist at M D Anderson. I initiall had a type of NHL that isn't too common (about 8%) and can be mistaken for Hodgkin's disease but now things are showing me with a secondary cancer of Hodgkin's. My oncologist says it is very uncommon for NHL to turn to Hodgkin's but not the other way around. So, to be sure they are having a hematological specialist look things over for a proper diagnosis so that I get the right treatment regimen.
God has blessed me in so many ways and I've have learned to live day to day and be patient. So I'll see my oncologist next week and hopefully we'll have some answers to go from there.
My prayers are with all who are going through treatment and all who are in remission. I met wonderful people through Team Inspire and the support is definitely inspiring. My thoughts are on another Inspire friend who is waiting on his bone marrow transplant and we are walking through this thing together.
Blessings,
Joy
