Hi everyone,
I havent given an update in a while i think, things have been so crazy here. Chloe finally came home on 9/17 after being in the nicu 495days and then pediICU for 64 days. Thats one year, 4mths and a week!!!!! We are sooo happy to have finally left the hospital with our daughter.
She had a trach done on 7/28 and so far it has been okay , i was scared in the begining to suction her, watching her turn blue and coughing, usually im left to do it alone cause my mom and husband cant look at her when she gets like that. She is doing so well at home , she is just as active as her brothers, she kicks her legs like crazy, pulls on all her tubes and laughes when we tickle her.
We have a home nurse for 10hrs during the day and 14hrs on sat. so i get a little break. Im hoping soon to get 24hr nursing, cause this night shift is brutal!!!!
