Emmy checking in...

Emmy's protein was on am dip 4+ then, 2+ and 2+, but my question is if she voids during the nite is this still an accurate measurement? I know with 24hr urine's we always had to count every drop in the hospital as a nurse. She doesn't want to take the appetite booster med. and she is trying to eat better. She is eating more but she is still tired and irritable...she has also started complaining of lower back pain....we go tomorrow to the nutritionist and I am going to see if her peds will do a prot/creat ratio then....I believe my husband is beginning to realize my concern and desire for homeschooling....Em has not been in full blown nephrotic syndrome yet and I really want to do all I can to prevent it as long as possible.....we have been blessed that we found her FSGS early...not sure how or if it will change the outcome.....but I am willing to try to do all I can to delay more scarring of her kidneys...we will be going to immunology 11/02 I am very interested in what they have to say....I so believe something is haywire with her immune system...she has always struggled with resp and ear infections....tubes in T&A done all by three yrs of age....many battles with strep....flu's, pneumonia,and other viral illnesses....I know people think I am crazy but I know there is an answer to all this illness with her and I won't back off until we know what.... and how to take the best care of her as possible....thanks for caring everyone you all are in our prayers too!!!!! Melissa and Emmy... Oh by the way, Emmy is so enjoying her brother and his family being home from Florida. She loves him so and the boys are like brothers to her and Jaimie was her very first and very special dance teacher. It's been a blessing watching her interactions with them...she misses them a lot!!!!! One of her teachers didn't want me to take her out of school early so she could see her brother more...it really upset me because her opinion was based on past and present necessary absences for MD appt's and illnesses.....other kids are out for vacations, activities with various reasons and because she is sick more often she shouldn't be allowed some of the same pleasure and rewards? No wrong!!!!! In my home God is first, then family, then whatever we have to deal with....I have conference scheduled for Tuesday we will see what school presents then.
