Well here we go.In Dec 06,went to er due to being sick.Dr took an xray and seen that I had pnemonia, but he noticed what he thought was a large mass in upper right lung, but had to treat me for pnemonia. So he said that he wanted to repeat xray in a few wks.Was heading back to work after a wk and still wasn't feeling right,so went back to er.Thats when they said I had a mass in upper right lobe, the size of a softball.was then sent to pul Dr,to see about my breathing.Stated that my lung was still working well, but wanted to send me to rad dr and onc.Had a biospy done and found out it was attached to trach,r lymph nodes and that 1 large mass.started rad and chemo same week.after 13 rounds of rad an chemo, was sent to Pa to see onc there.was told that I was gonna be put on a maintance program, cause there was nothing that could be done.Went back to fla, continued with chemo and it seemed to stablize. Then bf an I had heard about Gibbs cancer center here in SC(plus his kids wwas here). So we moved here and he quit workin to take care of me.We moved here Jan 09,in mar after chemo treatment,he had a heart attack.Boy talk about roller coaster. So here we was faced with both of us sick.He had no insurance and I was the only one bringing in income.Since then I've been on taxotere.Until 4wks ago my dr decided to give my body a rest, cause I was feeling all of the side effects.Plus since tumor was stable he wanted me to see a surgeon to see if it could be removed.found out that it has spread to lymph nodes in left lung, trach, right lymph nodes, plus a smaller tumor next to large one.so now we know all the can do is maintain it.Lol so who's the caretaker here.Oh yeah, hubby now.Had to have a stint reopened in sept.He can't get no help due to under 65 an Dr states he can return to working.Like who is gonna hire him at 61 an not in good health,Gibbs takes care of my meds, but we have to pay for all of his meds.So please if anyone has any ideas that might help us please let us know.God Bless you all.......CG
