Regarding the pain after removal of a lung... I had my left upper lobe removed in Jan. 08. I h ad pain for over 4 months... until someone else who had the surgery suggested I see a holistic chiropractor. It turned out that my rib, which was moved to perform the surgery... was not exactly put back correctly.. it was slightly off. Enough to cause what the chiropractor described as have a rock in your shoe rubbing constantly. In this case breathing. Because this had been going on for several months...I was told it had also caused a spasm. The chiropractor very gently moved my rib into place... and after a number of therapies to get rid of the spasm.. including accupture.. the pain went away. I do have some pain when the weather changes.. due to some scar tissue..but that pain is minimal.. and 1 Advil will take care of it. However, if the pain gets anything like before... I will again see the chiropractor...to see what therapy will help.
