I am new to this website. I am pretty much copying and pasting from a SCLC topic until I get caught up. I hope I can gain some insight. Thank you in advance for any answers you can provide. I was diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma cordial In August. I just finished Radiation plaque therapy a few days ago. During the pre op physical The doctors found an egg sized tumor on my upper left hilar with (multiple) enlarged lymph node up to 2.1 Cm. A biopsy reveiled undifferentiated small cell carcinoma I am meeting with my oncologist today to discuss options. No biopsy results back yet from the grape sized tumor in my eye. aparantly they are having a hard time with it and sent it out for special tests. Pretty rare I guess. Anyway My first meet with my oncologist was pretty devastating. She did not want me to start the radial plaque so we could get started on chemo and radiation and said I was stage 3B. Now they are just trying to find out what came first, the chicken or the egg. Hopefully I can get some answers today. I have talked with her twice on the phone while I was radioactive and can't seem to get a straight answer She just keeps telling me she won't let it kill me. I have been a realist and want to Know my chances. I have been doing alot of research online and don't forsee a long and prosperous life ahead. However I also don't put alot of stock in online survival rates.
