Hi-
I met with my surgeon yesterday, and he told me that the surgery is a little more extensive than initially thought and that he might have to remove a few ribs. YIKES!
And so, here are my questions:
Why would ribs have to be removed?
Does this rule out the probability that I'd be able to have the VATS surgery?
Should I get a second opinion on the type of surgery?
I hear that rib removal is a long recovery.
Thanks to anyone who might know a little about this type of surgery.
