Hi Friends,
My CT scan showed growth in my liver and lungs, so I'm off the study. Needless to say this is a pretty big blow. I really thought things were going ok and that if there was to be progression, it wouldn't be so soon. Since this was my 5th line, there really isn't anything with great potential left. I have the possibility of Gemzar , Nevelbine, and maybe 1 or 2 others, but I seriously have to weigh quality of life vs quantity. It's been a day of tears, disbelief, sadness................I'm sure you can imagine if you haven't faced it yet.
Please keep my hubby Tim and me in your prayers as we prepare to tell our 10 and 13 yr olds this news. We're in Boston til tomorrow night and are going to treat ourselves to a drive up to Rockport. Last time we tried the drive I was sickly....this time I'm going to enjoy the beauty of the coast and be happy with every day. Pray also that I have clarity in my decision of whether to try more treatment or enjoy my family.
