Joe and his exciting week so far

First I want to thank everybody for the prayers for the results of Joe's Pet Scan. Joe has been such a trooper and such an inspiration to all of us in his family. Today he will receive his 8th round of Chemo. Tuesday we got the results of his Pet Scan which revealed more than 50% of the cancer is gone. Also on Wednesday he went back to the Brain Specialist where they previously zapped 4 mets with the Gamma Knife and then went back for a 2nd MRI which revealed one was still there and grew. The doctor advised to wait 3 weeks and take another MRI to see if it got bigger. We were all saying "Why not just zap it again?" Wednesday we got the results of the second MRI to see if it got bigger and guess what , it was gone. Miracles do happen. The doctor said that it could have been swollan but we all know it was a miracle because of all the prayers. Last night he also went to see the Yankees win thier 27th Championship. He sat right behind 1st base. He was so happy and excited. thanks for all the support and prayers. At least we know that the Chemo is working. Jan he has to follow up with the brain doctor and they should be starting radiation soon too.
