I have been diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in the upper lobe of right lung. There is involvement of the second and third rib and nerves leading to my right arm. I am having surgery to remove just the upper lobe and was told they may have to cut a nerve which would leave me with no grip in my right hand. Has anyone gone through this. I am really nervous, but I know it is my only option. I have also gone through chemo and radiation which did decrease the size of the tumor. I am in good health otherwise and you wouldn't even know I was sick, except for the fact I am bald from the chemo.
