OK, I'm back. First two days of Chemo went well, but the morning of the third day we had to go to UCLA for the eye follow up. Two hours in traffic to get there and one and a half back just wiped me out. We're only 40 miles from there but the wall I hit made me feel like one of my pug dogs. I was pretty much in bed for two days straight. I've started my neuprin shots which seem to be helping.
Did finally find out that the eye melanoma is actually mets from the lung. That's what UCLA is telling me anyway. When I met with my radialogist he informed me that I probably did not need the radial plaque therapy and that chemo probably would have taken care of it, but who knows. Nothing like radiation to wipe out the rest of your vision when you don't need it. 20/20 two months ago to 20/70 before the plaque to 20/100 on Wednesday. At least I was given a dose heavy enough to kill the melanoma so the small cell should be taken care of. But mets to the eye? Is this good or bad news?
