Check with your husbands Onc Doc before you do this. I was given Anti-nausea meds from my Onc Doc during my treatments and they worked for me. They have so many new anti-nausea meds today. I did my treatments 14 years ago.

I haven't known anyone to use this wristband. I also have an In Person Lung Cancer Support Group, and we have never seen these in 10 years in our group. Check with you doc.

Best wishes,
Connie

I agree with Connie that you should check with your doctor. When I was in chemo I had some anti-nausea drugs that kept me completely free of nausea.

That being said, I have used similar bands for scuba diving and found them to be very effective. However, diving is very different from the effects of cancer meds.

I have heard of the bracelets and know two people whose doctors recommended them, one for serious vertigo and the other for moderate motion sickness. They did NOT help with the vertigo but DID with the motion sickness. I've also known a fellow scuba diver who used them, but only on the dive boats. He said it was really important to get them positioned on the pressure points accurately or they wouldn't be effective. Not positive, but I think these apply more to helping with an inner ear equilibrium than nausea caused by chemo-induced tissue death but it would be nice if they worked as well or better than yet another pill. With Gemzar, none of the usual anti-nausea meds are working for me even Zofran so I'm taking ginger capsules, sipping Vernors, and have an occasional ginger candy sent straight from the helicopter ride in Kauai which all give some relief.
good luck
Irene

I've never used them, but my daughter-in-law did through three pregnancies and said it helped. I can only judge by my experience, but I don't believe that my nausea with preganancy was as severe as with the chemo. I can't see how it would hurt, but would still runit by the doctor.
