vertigo

Is vertigo a symptom of lung cancer. I remember having some dizzy spell and "listing" like a boat a few times perhaps a couple of months before my diagnosis.

Its usually not caused by LC unless you've had mets to your brain. I see you posted under stage 1 and that stage wouldn't have mets. I would call my doctor and ask him or her what they think. It could be something very inocent like an ear infection. But call just in case, today call!- John

Thank you John.

I definately think it can be a symptom. My Mom had vertigo for the first time in her life (age 69) 6 months before her diagnosis. It went away once she started chemo.

I had vertigo several years ago, long before I was diagnosed. I was told mine was caused by calcium deposits in the ear canal that comes- with growing older. Although it is VERY scary, after some time I did recover. It is sure one hell of a scary ride tho.
Also, my ENT doc also said it may never come back again, or may recur again.
Hoping you find some real soon!

thank you all for replying.

Yes I am glad you asked that .. My husband who had never ever been hospitalized woke up about 3 months ago maybe 4 time passes so fast when you finally wish it would pass slow .. but he woke up and said something is wrong .. I called 911 he was very dizzy and could not walk or stand up .. This was before he began having pain in his shoulder , lung and when sneezing .. He was diagnosed with lung cancer large cell agressive just 2 weeks ago .. So that is interesting . They were wondering if it came from somewhere else but at the time they did give him a cat scan and didnt see anything I wonder and i will mention this to the doctor tomorrow ..
