I had my cystoscopy yesterday,8-13 but I still have'nt heard from my dr.My procedure was delayed from 1:30 till 4:00pm,another dr.got behind so you know how that goes.Prior to finally going in my urologist told me to call the next day(today) and ask to speak to him personally,he was busy and then had an emergency. So I wait again.Funny thing is,I did have a prior ct scan and dont know if that showed anything but in the o.r. they were all saying to each other that my case was a cystoscopy, bladder tumor. The nurse in post-op I think she said interstitchal cystitis. As usual I am in the dark again,my mind wondering about all the things I heard.Had to get that off my chest.I really do appreciate all of you who took the time to reply to my prior question about LC stats,it is so nice to have people who care and know how you feel.Bringing this to someone whos not been there, well you know they look at you like "uh huh"your obcessed with this!!!LOL..Many thanks and love you guys for not treating me like a nut.Take care and I will let you know about the biopsy, curious to find out who was right! Hugs to all,Janet

Hi Janet: I understand how terrible the "waiting" is. If someone AFTER surgery ( in PACU or Recovery room as it used to be called) said you had interstitial cystitis ,then it is not a malignancy............M.C. Let's hope that nurse was correct!

hey, Janet,
prayers for a great outcome!!!
hugs

Hope all goes well, Janet. Like MC said, if the nurse was correct, you have nothing to worry about.

Best wishes,

Bette

I don't know how any of us stand the stress of this stuff! i am an RN and interstitial cystitis is definitely not cancer although i'm sure it would be very uncomfortable. Thoughts and prayers are with you. I really think you are going to get good news.
