Thanks everyone that boosted me up and held my virtual hand when I was getting a bit worried (yeah, just a bit)
and Praise JESUS for letting me squeak by yet again! My tumor is still huge at 3.7 cm but it is DOWN and they see some cavitation? Which means you were right Pat- I have a tiny bit more lung damage and yes a possible infection but NO SIGN of spread or growth!!! Now I am wheezing and can't talk and feeling like crap but WHO CARES- I was PRAYING for bronchitis, right? :-)
My Dr. is a real killer though.
She forgot to bring the report- I gave her my copy and she said "hmm..........shrunk a bit, not sure how much cancer is left. Looks like you have cold.......ok, enjoy the next 3 months! "
And she threw the scripts and appt card down and walked out LOL ( I am glad I am use to her bedside manner)
Tonight I will pray again for all of you that are fighting this along side me and want you to know I can't stop crying because I am so happy. My little girl ran off the school bus--- asking me about my scan. She is six years old , I never imagined how much she is paying attention. When I told her "sorry babe, I can't take you to the Halloween party because I have a cold" she said "that's ok mommy, we can play yahtzee" !
Imagine that--- we are blessed in so many hundreds of little ways............

I am sooooo happy you have a cold! I knew it :) now let's all pray that your cold away! God bless and enjoy that little one

hey, Marianne,
let's get that cold taken care of so we can do the happy dance - oh, who cares - let's do the happy dance now and spread the cold around!!! WOOOO HOOOO!!!!
BTW - when you decide to get yourself over the cold, there are things the pulmonary doc can do to help with the wheezing if it bothers you - they have some pretty cool tricks with aggressive prednisone bursts to get the air-ways calmed down - make sure, however, that your onc and your pulmonary doc are hand-in-hand before either one of them tries anything!

Now, let's go put the lampshades on our heads and may the happy dance commence!!!!!

Marianne,
I take a cold any day but it is always scary, every little cough scares me but I don`t let anybody know. I am so happy for you, and believe me my Onc is a man of few words but he is honest.
God bless you

Precious, precious little girl! My 10 yr old grandson amazing me on some of the things he asks me about cancer, and things he just comes up with out of the blue

Positive news - I am so pleased for you!
Hoping for more positive scans!

Marianne - So glad to hear your news and good reports. Q: did you go to the Bowie support group a while back? Q: how was it?

Love and more prayers from Barbaray

Marianne - I am so happy for your results and pray you will continue to get better. I have a 6 year old daughter too and your post brought tears to my eyes - what a little sweetheart you have.

When we went to visit family we did "inside" trick-or-treating, my husband and his mom would stand behind closed doors and the kids knocked and got candy at each one, they just loved it!

Hi Marianne, I'm hoping you are doing okay. I've been thinking about you and praying for you. I've had some good news. My tumor shrank down to peanut size and I'm going to see a surgeon next week. I'm hoping they can operate. I've been feeling lousy this week, chemo round number 5. I hope you are doing okay and I'm glad it was just a cold. Keep in touch.
God Bless,
Tera

wonderful news! Children are so insightful and very aware of what is going on. One day my grandson who was 8 at the time ran his hands over his body and said to me, "how did your scan turn out?" It is sad at their ages that they have to be concerned about such things.
