Ten Years!

10 Recommendations

Yesterday was the 10 year anniversary of my diagnosis of inoperable stage IIIB NSCLC, adenocarcinoma, 7x8 cm tumor. At the time, I didn't think I would live a year, much less 10, and for the last 9 I've been NED and living a perfectly normal lifestyle.

I'm so grateful, thanking God every day for healing me. It wasn't easy, but it's been a very rewarding journey and I'm glad to have had the experience.

The Chinese character for 'crisis' is a comination of the character for 'danger' and the character for 'opportunity'. My wish for all of you who are currently facing the 'danger' part of this disease is that God will also bless you with the 'opportunity' part, as He has for me.

God bless us all!

Kathy

That is such great news! Thank you so much for sharing. It was like a breath of fresh air this morning. I have the identical stage, with pleural effusion and just celebrated my 2 year anniversary of diagnosis. I am still doing chemo so am not NED yet, but I'll get there.
Thank you for the hope.

Kathy,

You are such a warm, loving and generous person with your time and advice. As we know, you were the first person I ever spoke with over a year ago when I was newly diagnosed and felt like I was just drowning in the pit of helplessness and despair. As you lifted me out of the gutter then with your words of hope and encouragement, just knowing you during my struggling journey to NED has lifted my spirit and given me a focus so I could be where I am now. I feel certain you have affected many others in the same powerful ways.
God bless you Kathy. The world is a much better place having you in it.
Love you and many heartfelt congratulations!!
