My daughter saw the medical oncologist today. He said she has stage IV BAC Lung Cancer/bilateral.
Plus in her lymph nodes.
His plan of treatment is: Tarceva (oral 3 weeks) + Avastin through a port every 3 weeks. She will stay on this program with a scan every 6 weeks to determine how the cancer is reacting.
Has anyone been through this? This will be her first treatment...she's had 2 biopsies, CT Scans, brain scan and PET Scan.
He feels she's an excellent candidate for this clinical trial because she's a non smoker (never smoked), young (47 ) and otherwise healthy.
Do you think we're on the right track???
Thank you for any input.
