STAND UP TO CANCER FUNDING

I just did a very quick google search and found this page:

It looks like they are funding 5 teams. One of the teams, Bringing Epigenetic Therapy to the Forefront of Cancer Management, co-leader is Steven Belinsky, Ph.D., director, Lung Cancer Program, Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute

There is one team for breast cancer, another for "women's cancers", one for bioengineering, and one for pancreatic cancer

It doesn't look like Lung cancer is out in the cold this time. Not headlining, but not forgotten.

Thanks Marg as l said in my post I,m just new to the computer This is my 5yr old grandaughers lape top computer My daugher set up this site for me and put my profile in She would help me figure out more if l ask But she helps me anough with this lung cancer (treatment plan; appointments ect, ect,) My husband helps but he gets so upset he will not hear what docs say So today l was MAD when l heard that no funding for lung cancer l,m glad l was wrough Now l,m going to try and post a journal entry to let everyone know something about me Hope l do,nt mess this computer up Wish me luck LUCY

Welcome to the site. I expect they'll have another stand up for cancer fundrasier this year I do hope so.

Lucy welcome to the site, Any questions even computer help we will answer, so ask away. It takes a little time to get the hang of working on computers, but the worst you can do is be afraid of it, most errors we make can be fixed in a matter of minutes. Were here for you.

Thank you I may have to take you up on that . Some time SOON I will get my daughter to show me how to do e mail ( read, send ) it . This site has realy helped me , at first my daughter printed up survivors storeys for me to read to lift me up then she bought this computer .she said (for her daughter to use when she's here .) And showed me how to get on this site by myself . And reading the posts have helped me so much . All of you are great and I have learned so much I was in a dark place thinging about how much time I have left and then reading the post sad ones happy ones the back and forth wrighting of everyone its there the fighting human spirit . You give each other a piece of it when it,s needed. So this site the people on it have given me hope. How long do I have to live? A LIFE TIME. Lucy
