STABLE

Well guys. I've been doing Gemzar/Xeloda at the Mayo clinic recommendation since March - had a bad week last week, had to have three blood transfusions (two of whole blood and one of platelets) because my counts fell so badly - platelets went to 20 and my gum's started bleeding. Anyway got my results of the cat scan. My tumor that shrunk from 1.4 x 1.6 to .9 x .9 has not changed, the other larger tumor that was 2.4 x 1.6 is 2.1 x 1.8, so the report is virtually "unchanged". Also the last report showed Numerous new nodules scattered upper lungs both sides, too small to "check" and this report shows NOTHING praise god. Either the chemo zapped em or they weren't cancer which is what I suspect.

Also, no spread at all. All the other areas the PET showed uptake, nothing. (That is why I don't trust the PET it has too many false positives). Liver clear, stomach clear, nodes clear, nothing in the bone that they can see so I am still limited to the lung.

Praise god I'll take it.

You bet!!

Glad to hear!

Question: The doc said the one tumor looked like it had "calcified" in the middle. This is good news, no? Does anyone know?

Congratulations Deb. I hope the chemo gets better for you and that you always have good scans.
