SO PROUD OF MY MOM!!

0 Recommendations

I am so proud of my mom, we just got back from the Free to Breathe Lung Cancer Walk in Philadelphia Pa. She walked the mile walk plus some. All survivors wore green t-shirts, it was sad to only see a few. Looking forward to next year and looking forward to seeing alot more green shirts.

I am hoping to get a walk going in Nebraska this next year. Congrats to both you and your mom. GO GREEN!!!

Blessings,
Barb

WTG to both of you. Sorry there were'nt more of you. Why the green t-shirts? Just curious. Take care, JC

Congrats, I walked the 5k saturday in punta gorda, fl. We raised $30K to help the cause. My older sister and I did it in memory of my baby sister who passed 3 months ago from Lung Cancer. I feel very blessed that God has given me the strength and breath to be able to walk this event. At the Rally after, they asked if all survivors could come down to the mike. There was only 4 out of about 80 people that was left there. I found that to be very sad. We all have to work harder to get money for research. We must spread the word that this is killing more people than any other cancer. A speaker who was a Radiologist said this year it is killing younger people in mass numbers.

JC, I am not sure if there is a reason for the green. Angel, we do need to work hard, I wish I had more time to do more for the cause, but every little bit helps. Next week i will be outside Walmart passing out info & trying to raise funds also. After that I will have to take a break as my mom is scheduled for surgery 11/17 and I will be caring for her. Take care
