Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know that my scans are TOTALLY clear! I had a 4.0x4.5 cm typical carcinoid removed via open surgery on February 12th. At the time I was staged at IIB. Now they say I have No Evidence of Disease! I did a CT scan and something called an octreotide scan (it's usually done for carcinoid tumors and is 92% sensitive... very good!)

I am SO happy and went out to dinner last night with my wonderfully supportive hubby to celebrate. I know the news is what we all expected because my onc told me I had an excellent prognosis post-op, but I gotta tell you, it's really nice to see those words: "no evidence of recurrent, remnant or metastasis tumor"... yayyyy!

It is really wonderful to hear that...

I dont want to spoil your happiness ...
but I want to see you healthy for next many many years....
I have seen few cases declared "All CLEAR" and the beast returned just after few months...

So just a word of Caution....
Be careful...
1.Follow a healthy diet. No junk food at all.
2. Do regular Yoga and excersise
3. Do regular check-ups
4.Take all your medicines in times

I dont know whether you belive in Herbal medicines or not..
But remember.. Western medicines can not garrenty that Cancer has gonn completly it will never come back.. So as a precaution...
I would still recommend taking Herbal medicines like Ayurvedic or Tibetian....
You can take them along with you regular medicines...

Love those letters N.E.D. I figure you must have had a wondrous "high" after hearing them. Glad you have started a tradition - after hearing NED, go out for a wonderful dinner with someone you love!

I have my own tradition of having a great lunch with an old and dear friend. We have a glass of champagne and then talk for an hour or so. I love it!
