In Non-small cell lung cancer - General

met with the surgeon today. he was an hour late due to an emergency surgery. my oncologist was there too. that made me really nervous, expecting bad news, but...THE CANCER HAS NOT SPREAD, AND THERE IS A 50% REDUCTION IN THE SIZE OF THE TUMOR!!!!

YAY!!!!

they wanna do surgery asap, but with closing on the purchase of a new business saturday, and wanting to fly my daughter in from south carolina, we have agreed on the 24th as the date for surgery. in the meantime, they gave me a script for xanax to help with all the anxiety.

thank you all, that kept me in your prayers and encouraged me to do this. i couldnt do it without you!

Deb!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats great honey!!!!! Omg I cant believe I forgot to suggest xanax that shit saved my life!!! I cant believe how the tumors responded to the treatment thats just wonderful.Pretty soon you will be cancer free and feeling fine!!! Congrats my friend and God bless you. love,Kandy

I am so happy for you! You or your daughter will have to keep us updated. I am so glad that you are able to have surgery and that the tumor has reduced in size! You have made a complete 360 from a couple weeks ago. You hang in there! Congrats! I will be pulling for you!

I am SO happy to hear this news!!!! I know that some of us (well myself) may have sounded harsh in our words of encouragement, but your news today is EXACTLY the kind of news we all want/ have wanted for those we love... and we all care about you here, so this is fantastic news!! I've never met you, but I feel in a better mood myself already today knowing that you got such fantastic results from the doctors. I'm sure your daughter is SO relieved as well. Enjoy the next few weeks before your surgery and please keep us posted!!!

WONDERFUL news! I sure can relate to it since I had chemo before surgery. Mine shrank to almost 50% which was actually more than they expected.

Deb - I am SO SO SO happy for you - see - we pushed and pushed - you know you really didn't have a choice - we are a relentless group! I am so happy about all of your news - (except that you are delaying the surgery) but OK - and start that anti-anxiety med NOW. It really does help. Will be keeping you in my prayers all through your journey!
